How to activate Google Pay UPI Lite: Google Pay has launched the UPI Lite feature in India. With its help, Google Pay users will be able to make daily payments quickly and without server issues. The UPI Lite feature was launched by RBI in September last year. This is a digital payment service designed by the National Payment Corporation of India. With its help, you can do transactions up to Rs 200 at a time without entering the UPI-Pin. Although UPI Lite is linked to the user\’s bank account, it does not depend on the core banking system of the bank in real time.
With the help of UPI Lite, users can easily make payments even during peak transaction hours. Users can load up to Rs 2,000 twice a day and pay Rs 200 at a time. Let us tell you that before Google Pay, Paytm and Phone Pay have started UPI Lite feature. Currently only 15 banks in India support UPI Lite payments.
Activate UPI Lite like this
To activate UPI Lite on Google Pay, first go to the Profile section in the app
Here you will see the option of UPI Lite, click on it and tap on Continue
After this, if your primary bank account is in the list of selected banks (i.e. those that support UPI Lite), then you will be able to add money directly to UPI Lite. If the primary bank does not support this feature, then add another bank and activate UPI Lite
Talking about the roll-out of UPI Lite, Google\’s VP Product Management Ambrish Kenghe said that the company is proud to partner with NPCI and RBI. This partnership will increase the reach and utility of UPI. He said that Google Pay aims to simplify small value transactions by giving users a convenient, compact and superfast payment experience.
